Dense HVOF coatings for landing-gear parts, turbine-related components, engine hardware, and other high-value parts requiring controlled automated deposition and wear or corrosion protection.
The MP3000-E ethanol HVOF Spray System is a dedicated industrial platform for liquid-fueled high-velocity oxy-fuel coating. It combines MP 3000 digital process control with a liquid-fuel delivery package and compatible HVOF spray guns for ethanol-based processes.
The system coordinates liquid fuel, oxygen, carrier gas, powder feeding, gun cooling, ignition, process programs, diagnostics, safety functions, and connected automation equipment. GST configurations include the Et-Gun with ethanol and oxygen.
Each HVOF-LF system is engineered around the selected gun, coating material, component geometry, production rate, required automation level, fuel-storage concept, and site conditions. The result is a complete liquid-fuel HVOF platform for repeatable and traceable industrial production.

In the HVOF-LF configuration, liquid fuel is stored in a dedicated tank and delivered to the system by a specialized pump, while oxygen and carrier gas are controlled through the process gas architecture. The selected gun determines the approved fuel package: GST Et-Gun with ethanol and oxygen.
The liquid-fuel version therefore has a distinct process architecture that includes fuel storage, fuel pumping, controlled oxygen delivery, powder feeding, cooling, ignition, automation, and site-specific safety engineering. Fuel selection must always remain linked to the approved HVOF gun and qualified process recipe.
Digital
MP 3000 modular digital process control system
The Process Control Center coordinates the HVOF-LF system through a digital control architecture and HMI. It manages operating programs, alarms, connected modules, user access, process data, diagnostics, and maintenance information.

GST MCoat™ is the process-control environment used to operate and supervise the MP3000-E ethanol HVOF platform. It coordinates liquid-fuel delivery, oxygen and carrier gas, powder feeding, gun status, cooling supervision, diagnostics, data acquisition, program management, and external-module integration.
For liquid-fueled HVOF production, stored operating programs and controlled user access are especially important because the qualified process window is linked to the selected gun and fuel package.
Main software functions
Mass flowmeters
High-precision, with digital connection
The Gas Management Center regulates oxygen, carrier gas, and other configured gases while interfacing with the liquid-fuel delivery package. Features include high-precision mass flowmeters, in-line pressure regulators, pressure transmitters, gas microfilters, and stainless-steel tubing and fittings.
Ethanol + O₂
Et-Gun fuel / oxidizer
HVOF-LF operation uses a dedicated liquid-fuel pump and a separate storage tank for the approved fuel. GST configuration places the tank in a separate room and supplies fuel to the Gas Management Center through the specialized pump. The final installation must be engineered for ethanol, the selected gun, site layout, and applicable safety requirements.
Gun interface
Gun utilities, cooling-water monitoring, ignition
The Switching Module provides the interface between the process system and the selected JP5000 or Et-Gun spray gun. It manages gun utilities, cooling-water monitoring, ignition, and process connections required by the configured gun package.

The powder feeder transports coating powder to the gun using carrier gas. The standard architecture can support up to four independent powder feed lines, with volumetric feeding, optional gravimetric control, 1.5 L or 5 L hoppers, heating, agitation, quick-change hoppers, and powder-level monitoring.
Forced-water
Cooling with dedicated refrigeration unit
Liquid-fueled HVOF guns operate under high thermal load and require reliable forced-water cooling. The refrigeration unit is selected to maintain stable cooling conditions for the configured gun throughout the coating cycle.
Robots + positioners
Industrial robots, gun manipulators, workpiece positioners
Industrial robots, dedicated gun manipulators, and workpiece positioners control the relative motion between the HVOF gun and the component, maintaining spray distance, angle, traverse speed, and trajectory.
Booth + filtration
Soundproof spray booth; exhaust and filtration unit
A complete HVOF-LF cell can include a soundproof spray booth and exhaust/filtration unit. HVOF spraying generates high noise, heat, dust, and overspray, so engineered acoustic enclosure and extraction are integral to industrial installation.

The MP3000-E ethanol HVOF configuration supports liquid-fueled HVOF gun packages. The current GST product configuration supports Et-Gun for ethanol-fueled operation.
The GST Et-Gun is a liquid-fuel HVOF torch optimized for ethanol-based operation. Its combustion chamber is designed to operate at elevated pressure of approximately 13 bar, generating a high-velocity supersonic jet for efficient particle acceleration. The configuration is intended for producing dense protective coatings with high bond strength, low porosity, and high microhardness.

The MP3000-E ethanol HVOF is a configurable liquid-fueled HVOF coating platform. Final suitability depends on the coating specification, powder, substrate, selected Et-Gun process, component geometry, qualification requirements, and production rate.

Dense HVOF coatings for landing-gear parts, turbine-related components, engine hardware, and other high-value parts requiring controlled automated deposition and wear or corrosion protection.

Protective coatings for valve components, pump shafts, drill tools, seals, and other parts exposed to abrasion, erosion, corrosion, or combined wear mechanisms.

HVOF processing of turbine seals, wear rings, rotating equipment, and other components where surface durability and coating repeatability are important.
Wear-resistant coatings for hydraulic rods, extrusion screws, mining components, rolls, shafts, and other industrial parts subjected to sliding, abrasive, or erosive wear.
Metallic and alloy coating applications for components requiring improved corrosion resistance in aggressive or marine environments.
The Et-Gun is used with metal and carbide powders, supporting wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coating systems subject to process qualification.
The GST MP 3000 HVOF-LF Ethanol Spray System is a stationary industrial liquid-fuel HVOF thermal spray platform using ethanol as the fuel. It is designed for automated and robotic production of dense, high-performance coatings with precise control of fuel, oxygen, powder feed, cooling, and process safety.
A typical system includes the MP 3000 process control center, ethanol supply and metering module, oxygen control, powder feeder, HVOF spray gun, cooling system, ignition and safety interlocks, plus interfaces for robots, manipulators, positioners, spray booths, and extraction equipment.
The current GST MP 3000 HVOF Ethanol configuration works with Et-Gun liquid-fueled HVOF gun.
The GST Et-Gun is specified with a spray deposition rate of 60–170 g/min, depending on the powder, particle size, process recipe, and coating requirements.
For the GST Et-Gun ethanol-fueled HVOF configuration, the cooling-water requirements should be specified approximately as follows: water quality <50 ppm; water inlet pressure10–15 bar.
The Et-Gun operates at combustion chamber pressures up to 13 bar (188 psi). This is roughly 3–5 bar higher than conventional kerosene HVOF systems, which contributes to higher flame and particle velocities.
No. Fuel flow, oxygen flow, powder feed, utility consumption, and other operating values must be defined for the actual Et-Gun coating process and project configuration.
